Garrett Delfosse d97f5ae2a6 fix: add ESR support to release calendar script (#25205)
The `update-release-calendar.sh` script did not account for Extended
Support Release (ESR) versions. Running it would drop ESR entries (e.g.
2.24) from the calendar entirely or mark them as "Not Supported" instead
of "Extended Support Release".

## Changes

- Add `ESR_VERSIONS` array for tracking active ESR minor versions
- Add `is_esr_version()` helper to check ESR membership
- Extract `generate_release_row()` to reduce duplication
- Prepend ESR versions older than the standard window
- Override "Not Supported" status for ESR versions within the window

> [!NOTE]
> When new ESR versions are designated or old ones reach end of life,
update the `ESR_VERSIONS` array at the top of the script.

Ben Potter cfce751b8a docs(docs): improve Docker daemon troubleshooting for all platforms (#24922)
Improves the Docker daemon troubleshooting in the quickstart and Docker
install docs:

- Renames the quickstart entry from "Cannot connect to the Docker daemon
on Linux" to cover all platforms.
- Adds a plain-English explanation of what the error means (Docker is
not installed or not running).
- Adds tabbed macOS/Linux/Windows instructions to the quickstart (macOS
and Windows were missing).
- Simplifies the Linux steps to match what Step 1 of the quickstart
already teaches.
- Adds a matching entry to `docs/install/docker.md` with a cross-link to
the quickstart for platform-specific steps.

Supersedes #24907 which was closed without merging.

Ben Potter 2487005cca docs(docs/install): remove outdated Apple Silicon ARM64 warning (#24906)
Removes the outdated Apple Silicon ARM64 warning block from the install
docs.

Coder compiles fine for ARM64, and the chip variant list (M1/M2/M3/M4)
would never stay up to date as new chips are released.

| AI Bridge Proxy | AI Gateway Proxy |
| Agent Boundaries | Agent Firewall |

## What changed

- Prose text, headings, titles, and descriptions updated across all docs
- Directories renamed:
  - `docs/ai-coder/ai-bridge/` → `docs/ai-coder/ai-gateway/`
- `docs/ai-coder/ai-bridge/ai-bridge-proxy/` →
`docs/ai-coder/ai-gateway/ai-gateway-proxy/`
  - `docs/ai-coder/agent-boundaries/` → `docs/ai-coder/agent-firewall/`
- All internal markdown links updated to new paths
- `manifest.json` route paths updated
- Rename notice added to AI Gateway and Agent Firewall entrypoint pages

## Companion PR

URL redirects (old paths → new paths):
[coder/coder.com#700](https://github.com/coder/coder.com/pull/700)

## What is intentionally NOT changed

- **Env vars**: `CODER_AIBRIDGE_*`
- **CLI flags**: `--aibridge-*`
- **API paths**: `/api/v2/aibridge/*`
- **Config keys**: `aibridge:` YAML blocks
- **Terraform variables**: `enable_aibridge`, `boundary_version`,
`use_boundary_directly`
- **Process names**: `aibridged`, `aibridgeproxyd`
- **Prometheus metrics**: `coder_aibridged_*`, `coder_aibridgeproxyd_*`
- **SDK types**: `codersdk.AIBridge*`
- **GitHub URLs**: `github.com/coder/aibridge`

blinkagent[bot] 543c448b72 docs: update release calendar to reflect 2.31 as stable (#24159)
Update the release calendar table now that v2.31.7 has been promoted to
stable (`latest` on GitHub Releases).

## Changes

| Release | Old Status | New Status | Latest Patch |
|---------|-----------|------------|-------------|
| 2.31 | Mainline | Stable | v2.31.7 |
| 2.30 | Stable | Security Support | v2.30.6 |
| 2.29 | Security Support + ESR | Extended Support Release | v2.29.9 |

---

> **Note:** The auto-generation script
(`scripts/update-release-calendar.sh`) determines status positionally
from the latest non-RC tag, so it will always mark the latest minor
version as "Mainline". This manual update is needed to reflect the
promotion of 2.31 to stable.

blinkagent[bot] d2950e7615 docs: document that license validation works offline (#24013)
## What

Documents that Coder license keys are validated locally using
cryptographic signatures and do not require an outbound connection to
Coder's servers. This is a common question from customers evaluating
Coder for air-gapped environments.

## Changes

- **`docs/admin/licensing/index.md`**: Added an "Offline license
validation" section explaining that license keys are signed JWTs
validated locally with no phone-home requirement.
- **`docs/install/airgap.md`**: Added a "License validation" row to the
air-gapped comparison table, confirming no changes are needed for
offline license validation and linking to the licensing docs.

## Why

While the air-gapped docs state that "all Coder features are supported"
offline, there was no explicit mention that the license itself doesn't
require connectivity. This is a frequent question from
security-conscious and air-gapped customers.

Jake Howell 8f73e46c2f feat: automatically generate beta features (#23549)
Closes #15129

Adds a generated **Beta features** table on the feature stages doc,
using the same mainline/stable sparse-checkout approach as the
early-access experiments list.

- Walk `docs/manifest.json` for routes with `state: ["beta"]` and render
a table (title, description, mainline vs stable).
- Inject output between `<!-- BEGIN: available-beta-features -->` /
`END` in `docs/install/releases/feature-stages.md`.
- Rename `scripts/release/docs_update_experiments.sh` →
`docs_update_feature_stages.sh`, refresh the script header, and use
`build/docs/feature-stages` for clone output.

blinkagent[bot] 3704e930a1 docs: update release calendar for v2.31 (#23113)
The release calendar was outdated — it still showed v2.30 as Mainline
and v2.31 as Not Released.

This runs the `scripts/update-release-calendar.sh` script and manually
re-adds the ESR rows that the script doesn't handle:

**Changes:**
- v2.28: Security Support → Not Supported
- v2.29: Stable + ESR → Security Support + ESR (v2.29.8)
- v2.30: Mainline → Stable (v2.30.3)
- v2.31: Not Released → Mainline (v2.31.5)
- Added 2.32 as Not Released
- Kept 2.24 as Extended Support Release
- Updated latest patch versions for all releases
- Removed 2.25 (no longer in the rolling window)

blinkagent[bot] c75c57c250 docs: restructure agent boundaries from /boundary/ to /agent-boundaries/ (#21798)
## Summary

This PR restructures the Agent Boundaries documentation to improve URL
clarity and consistency:

### Changes
- Renames `/docs/ai-coder/boundary/` to
`/docs/ai-coder/agent-boundaries/`
- Renames `agent-boundary.md` to `index.md` for cleaner URLs
- Updates all internal doc references to the new paths
- Updates `manifest.json` with new paths
- Updates prose references from "Boundary" to "Agent Boundaries"
throughout the documentation (33 changes across 4 files)

### New URL structure
| Old URL | New URL |
|---------|----------|
| `/docs/ai-coder/boundary/agent-boundary` |
`/docs/ai-coder/agent-boundaries` |
| `/docs/ai-coder/boundary/nsjail` |
`/docs/ai-coder/agent-boundaries/nsjail` |
| `/docs/ai-coder/boundary/landjail` |
`/docs/ai-coder/agent-boundaries/landjail` |
| `/docs/ai-coder/boundary/rules-engine` |
`/docs/ai-coder/agent-boundaries/rules-engine` |
| `/docs/ai-coder/boundary/version` |
`/docs/ai-coder/agent-boundaries/version` |

### Follow-up required

Redirects need to be added to `coder/coder.com` for the old URLs:
- `/docs/ai-coder/agent-boundary` → `/docs/ai-coder/agent-boundaries`
(this one is currently 404'ing from Google search results)
- `/docs/ai-coder/boundary/:path*` →
`/docs/ai-coder/agent-boundaries/:path*`

Danny Kopping d0c67ccb88 chore(helm): disable liveness probes by default, allow all probe settings (#21789)
Liveness checks are currently causing pods to be killed during
long-running migrations.

They are generally not advisable for our workloads; if a pod becomes
unresponsive we _need_ to know about it (due to a deadlock, etc) and not
paper over the issue by killing the pod.

I've also made all probe settings configurable.

blink-so[bot] 02ecf32afe docs: replace offline deployments terminology to air-gapped (#19625)
This PR comprehensively updates the offline deployments documentation to
use more precise "air-gapped" terminology and improves consistency
throughout the documentation.

## Changes Made

### Terminology Updates
- **Title**: Changed from "Offline Deployments" to "Air-gapped
Deployments"
- **Summary**: Updated to prioritize "air-gapped" terminology and added
"disconnected" to cover additional deployment scenarios
- **Content**: Updated tutorial references to use "air-gapped" instead
of "offline"
- **Section headers**:
  - Changed "Offline container images" to "Air-gapped container images"
  - Changed "Offline docs" to "Air-gapped docs"
- **Table headers**: Changed "Offline deployments" to "Air-gapped
deployments"

### Navigation & URL Structure
- **Navigation title**: Updated `docs/manifest.json` to show "Air-gapped
Deployments" in sidebar
- **Navigation description**: Updated to "Run Coder in air-gapped /
disconnected / offline environments"
- **File rename**: `docs/install/offline.md` → `docs/install/airgap.md`
for consistency
- **URL change**: `/install/offline` → `/install/airgap`
- **Subsection anchors**:
  - `/install/offline#offline-docs` → `/install/airgap#airgap-docs`
- `/install/offline#offline-container-images` →
`/install/airgap#airgap-container-images`

### Internal Links & References
Updated all internal documentation links:
- `docs/admin/integrations/index.md`
- `docs/admin/networking/index.md`
- `docs/changelogs/v0.27.0.md` (including anchor reference)
- `docs/tutorials/faqs.md`

### Backward Compatibility
- **Redirects**: Added `docs/_redirects` with 301 redirects:
  - `/install/offline` → `/install/airgap`
  - `/install/offline#offline-docs` → `/install/airgap#airgap-docs`
- `/install/offline#offline-container-images` →
`/install/airgap#airgap-container-images`
- **Content**: Maintains "offline" in the description for broader
understanding
- **Deep links**: All subsection anchors redirect properly to maintain
existing bookmarks

## Rationale

- **"Air-gapped"** is more precise and commonly used in
enterprise/security contexts
- **"Disconnected"** covers additional scenarios where networks may be
temporarily or partially isolated
- **Consistency** ensures filename, URL, navigation, content, and
subsection anchors all align with the same terminology
- **Backward compatibility** maintained through comprehensive redirects
to prevent broken links at any level

## Testing

- [x] Verified all internal links point to the new URL structure
- [x] Confirmed navigation title updates correctly
- [x] Ensured content accuracy is maintained
- [x] Added redirects for backward compatibility (main page +
subsections)
- [x] Updated all cross-references in related documentation
- [x] Verified subsection anchor redirects work properly
- [x] Confirmed no unnecessary .md file redirects

## Result

Complete terminology consistency across:
- Page title and headers
- Navigation and breadcrumbs
- File names and URL structure
- Internal documentation links
- Table headers and section titles
- Subsection anchors and deep links
- Backward compatibility via comprehensive redirects

blink-so[bot] 39ed0c32e6 docs: simplify PostgreSQL setup by using 'postgresql' as release name (#18754)
Fixes #18751

Use `postgresql` as the Helm release name instead of `coder-db` to make
the service name more intuitive and eliminate confusion entirely.

## Changes
- Changed `helm install coder-db bitnami/postgresql` to `helm install
postgresql bitnami/postgresql`
- Updated PostgreSQL URLs from
`coder-db-postgresql.coder.svc.cluster.local` to
`postgresql.coder.svc.cluster.local`
- Removed explanatory notes about service naming (no longer needed)

## Benefits
Makes examples work out-of-the-box for most users
Uses the most straightforward and intuitive release name
Eliminates confusion about service naming entirely
 Simpler documentation without complex explanations

## Testing
- Verified that `helm install postgresql bitnami/postgresql` creates
service named `postgresql`
- Confirmed this approach works with the connection URL
`postgresql.coder.svc.cluster.local`

Suggested by @EdwardAngert as a cleaner solution than explaining the
service naming dependency.
